Learn How to Build Traffic Without Search Engines!

LinkShare_468x60v2

According to the Graphic, Visualization, & Usability Center's (GVU) 8th WWW User Survey, "Most users find new web pages through other web pages (88%) and through search engines (82%). For the past year (Sixth & Seventh surveys) search engines have outranked other web pages as the source of new pages, that trend has reversed again."
GVU's WWW User's Surveys
The only thing is, hardly anyone gives much real thought to the basic ingredient of selling by mail - the writing of profitable classified ads. If your mail order business is to succeed, then you must acquire the expertise of writing classified ads that sell your product or services!

As getting a good (top 20) listing in the major search engines and directories becomes increasingly difficult, having a good base of incoming links from other web sites will become proportionately important. Some search engines will even rank you higher based on the number of incoming links that your site has, providing a dual benefit. If these two reasons aren't enough to convince you to start a strategic linking program today, then consider these:

Quality links provide a valuable resource that visitors appreciate and give them a reason to return often.

Quality links tell visitors that you are well known and respected by others in your area of expertise.

Quality links carry on the traditions that the Internet was built on, the free exchange of knowledge, resources, and information.

Quality links carry on the traditions that the Internet was built on, the free exchange of knowledge, resources, and information.

Do these reasons outweigh the reasons not to link to others?
Excuse number one:
why not to link to other sites, "Links just open the door for visitors to leave my site and that is a sale lost". If that visitor wasn't convinced enough to buy and was just researching the market, they would leave anyway. The only way you can receive a benefit from a visitor leaving is through a reciprocal link of one form or another. The reason we call them visitors is because they all leave at one point or another, with or without our product. If they leave without our product, isn't it better that they leave via a route that provides us a benefit?
Excuse number two:
"I don't want to be bothered with having to check to see if my link is up at the other site." If your links are well chosen and well executed in the beginning then this isn't a problem. Sure you may lose a link once in awhile, but it shouldn't be that big of a deal, because you are still adding value to your visitors and that is important too.

There is a variety of forms for exchanging links. From the least effective free-for-all, to the most effective content provider. Links can be banners or text. They may lead to a site, an email address, or an auto responder. In exchange, you could receive any of these in return. You could choose to use one or all of these methods depending on your needs and the needs of the other site. You can just list them randomly, first in, alphabetically, placed in a searchable directory, or spread throughout your site. Choose the method that works best for your product and your presentation.

Who are you going to target for link partners? Think first in terms of what would be of value to your visitors. Where do you go for information and resources? Who are your suppliers? Who offers a product that compliments yours? Who are your competitors?

Yes, I said competitors. Here is why:

If you are offering a quality product, competitively priced, you will help close the deal with your customer by providing them the information they need to make a decision.

If they are researching options, they will probably find your competition anyway (may as well get a link in return).

It makes good business sense to have good relationships with your competition. If you can't help a customer because you are too busy, or their requirements don't fit yours for whatever reason, it never hurts to have a place that you can refer them to. It is also beneficial to be able to just have someone in the same field that you can share ideas, problems, or vent a little steam when things are frustrating.
I suggest you approach looking for link partners the same way you approach looking for customers. Be very specific in what you are looking for, and what you have to offer. Constantly watch for and be open to opportunities to link with sites.

I was doing some research for a potential client and came across Senior Search: http://www.seniorssearch.com. They have a directory of web sites particularly for the over 50 age group. I never thought of that as a primary target for my services, but it has turned out to be one of my leading link traffic generators and all that it has cost me is a button on my site and about 10 minutes of my time. I am constantly looking for potential link partners, just like I am constantly looking for customers and opportunities. What specialized directories or associations can you partner with to your mutual benefit? Another good example of this is SOHO Web.

Two good resources to get started.
Link-O-Matic is a directory of web sites that are looking for reciprocal linking arrangements. You can post the information about your site and what you are looking for in potential link partners.

LinkUp is a discussion list type service that you can send messages to seeking link partners, and receive messages from others looking as well. TO SUBSCRIBE:
mailto:Subscribe-LinkUp@CommerceStreet.com

Many times as I am surfing through sites for the first time if I think they would be of value to my site visitors I will use the feedback form or email to ask the web master about the possibility of exchanging links in some way. This is probably the most effective and efficient method. You are at the site, you know whether or not they exchange links and with what type of sites. It only takes a minute of your time and could be the beginning of a very lucrative and long-term relationship.

Best Of Luck...

A Word About Selling Text links-Google's Blow

IVC Inc.

On a number of posts on blogger I talk about selling text links on your blog.

It is worth noting that my own practice of this has changed in the last 12 months and you should know that there are risks associated with the practice that are worth knowing before you get into it.

There is debate and controversy over this - but in the last months Google have begun to crack down on the practice of buying and selling of links in a new way. They don’t like the practice because they see it as a manipulation of their ranking of websites. As a result they’ve begun to take measures against it - one of which is to penalize sites that they see selling text links.

In 2007 a number of waves of penalties against these types of sites were handed out - mainly in the form of decreasing the page rank of sites selling links. Of course they didn’t get everyone and at first it was largely higher profiled sites who got hit with it - but they continue to find and penalize sites.

Bloggers and SEO types have been split on this issue - some saying that Google are being hypocritical, some agreeing with Google and saying that it’s their right to make their own rules. Whatever you think about it - you need to know that buying and selling of text links can lead to penalties with Google.

You may decide to take the risk and continue to sell them like many other bloggers - but you might also feel it’s not worth the risk.

The decision is yours,
Best Of Luck...

Monetizing Blog for Beginners

RiseSmart Inc.
Do you want to make money blogging? If you do - you’re not alone. More and more bloggers are finding that blogging is a profitable medium. Whether it be to earn a few extra dollars a week to feed their coffee habit, or making enough money to stop them having to get a part time job to get through college, or whether they’ve got it to a point where they are able to make a full time living from their blogging - there are tens of thousands of bloggers making money from blogging.

In this page I want to share some information for beginners on making money from their blogs.

How I Make Money BloggingWhat follows is a quick summary of my main income streams from blogging. Before you read it though - keep in mind that every blog is unique in how it can make money. Some of the following income streams will work on some blogs a lot better than others - the key is to experiment with as many as possible and see what works best for you.

The following income streams from a number of blogs have helped many to earn a six figure income each year from blogging. I’ve ranked them from highest to lowest.

1. AdSense

I have Adsense with amazing effect on blogs. I have them all set to show image and text based ads and find that 250×300 pixel ads work best (usually with a blended design). I don’t have much luck with their ‘referrals’ program but their normal ads work a treat and continue to be the biggest earner for me.

2. Chitika

Chitika continues to be a great performer for me on my blogs. They work best on product related blogs although their recent announcement of their Premium ad unit is exciting as they now offer ads with a non product focus that I’m hearing great conversions.Chitika offers a range of ad units that I experiment with. I find their eMiniMalls work best and that Related Product Units are also good. Their Shoplincs product isn’t performing as well as it once did for me - mainly because I’ve been promoting it less and have driven less traffic to it.

3. Private Ad Sales/Sponsorships

Private ad sales directly to advertisers have continued to grow over the last few months and as a result they’re now my third highest income stream. I expect them to overtake both Chitika and AdSense in the coming months. This includes ad sales of the 125 x 125 ads.

4. Amazon Associates

Amazon’s affiliate program has been one of my big movers in the last 12 months. I used to make a few odd dollars from it - however in recent times it has become a significant earner for me. This quarter it grew even more than previously as a result of continued growth of my blogs where I recommend books, software and cameras.

5. Miscellaneous Affiliate Programs

I run a variety of affiliate programs on my blogs - most of which bring in smaller amounts of money that don’t really justify a category of their own. There are many Company's which offer high quality affiliate programs such as Commision Junction, Linkshare, ClickBank. The great thing about many of these programs is that they are of such high quality that they sell themselves and I am being emailed from readers who sign up to them thanking me for the recommendation!

6. Shopzilla

As I wrote recently - Shopzilla has really impressed me with how it’s performed over the last few weeks. It’s actually doing well enough to debut in this list at #6. The ads are similar to Chitika but the click values have been higher for me to this point. They don’t offer quite as many options as Chitika does in terms of types of ads but for a new ad network there’s definitely promising signs. I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop!

7. WidgetBucks

Another newcomer to this list is WidgetBucks - another ad network.WidgetBucks is similar to Chitika and Shopzilla in many respects and works well on product related sites. It does best on sites with US traffic (the reason I’ve not used it as much as I get a lot of international traffic) so if you have a product related site with a US audience it’d be a no brainer to try out WidgetBucks. I’m hoping they’ll continue to expand their offerings in terms of ad types and visitor location.

8. Miscellaneous Advertising Programs

miscellaneous ad networksI also play with a number of other ad networks. Some I run as tests to see if I should review them here - and some are just advertising that run in the background on some of my smaller blogs. These include ShoppingAds, Feedburner RSS ads, Vizu (a poll advertising system), Kontera and Bidvertiser. Together these don’t add up to major earnings for me - not because they are not good, but because I don’t use them heavily.

A lot has been written on the topic of making money online from blogs. There is a lot of wonderful information out there - but also a lot of hype and sometimes dangerous information.
So be careful,
Best Of Luck.

13 New Ways To Make Money Online

Cisco Systems Inc., formerly known as Pure Networks
When you look for new revenue streams, think about what you do well. Whether you’re an expert in your field, a talented designer, a programmer, or a producer of content, there are ways to leverage your knowledge, skills and abilities, package them and provide them for a fee. And don’t forget that successful web workers are often pursuing more than one income stream at the same time. You may be able to assemble a career out of numerous smaller activities.
Latest 13 new ways to make money online.

1. Team up with Yahoo! to offer custom search services.
Yahoo! recently launched their BOSS API, which lets anyone build their own custom search engine or mashup using their search results. But you may have missed this teaser on their blog: “In the coming months, we’ll be launching a monetization platform for BOSS that will enable Yahoo! to expand its ad network and enable BOSS partners to jointly participate in the compelling economics of search.” The details of that platform aren’t out yet, but if you think you can come up with a compelling niche search offering, now’s the time to stake out your place in the market.

2. Sell freelance support.
Software and solutions like Copilot and Bomgar make it easier than ever to take over someone’s computer remotely, whether they know anything about how to let you connect or not. If you’re a whiz with solving operating systems and applications issues, why not sell your expertise to others who are less sure of themselves? At a reasonable hourly rate, you can still offer personal service that’s infinitely better than putting up with anonymous bored workers in a telecenter somewhere.

3. Create and maintain social networks.
While companies, organizations and individuals do see the value of marketing through social networks, many of them are afraid that they’ll “waste time” setting them up and maintaining them. Step in as their social network “developer” to determine the right places – MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, et. al. – to have accounts to help them achieve their goals. Then set up their pages and manage them on a regular basis. You can also submit reports that measure your clients’ online buzz and turn that in along with your monthly invoice.

4. Plan and host virtual events.
If you’re great at organizing, publicizing and managing events, why not offer your services online? Whether a live text chat on a client’s web site or a 3-dimensional avatar-based voice chat in a virtual world such as Second Life, companies and organizations could use your help developing and coordinating these events. You can even approach conferences and offer to create an online version of their event to reach a whole separate audience of people who cannot attend their offline happenings. Throw in some event hosting and moderating a la Oprah, and you’ve got yourself a global gig without having to jump on a plane.

5. Offer remote software demos and training.
So you’ve got a way with software, particularly newfangled Web-based applications. Offer your services as a Web apps trainer and hold online demos – for a fee. You can use GoToMeeting.com, Yugma, and similar services to broadcast your demos from your computer desktop to the computer screens of your audience members. Or approach the developers of these applications, show them you know their product almost better than they do, and offer to provide desktop demos to the media and to their higher dollar business customers.

6. Hold educational teleseminars.
Are you great at web design or online marketing or any other kind of Web work and have wanted to share your skills on a larger scale while getting paid to do it? If you’ve got the expertise, bottle it and sell it widely in the form of a live teleseminar where you charge a fee for participation and then archive it in your online store to generate recurring revenues. You can do simple web-based conference call coordination through Rondee or get fancier with simultaneous text chat and online documents with Calliflower.

7. Sell your video footage.
We’ve covered the microstock photography market several times, but did you know that there’s a budding microstock video market too? If you’re a digital video fanatic, turn your high-quality b-roll into bucks using stock imaging sites that also carry video footage like Pond5, iStockPhoto Video and Pixelflow. Set your price, set your terms, and add this new revenue stream to your income.

8. Sell virtual goods.
From fashion to business tools to décor for virtual homes and offices, people who are avid users of virtual worlds are hungry for well-designed virtual goods. While there is a learning curve for each proprietary virtual environment such as There.com, Kaneva, Lively, and Second Life, if there is a commerce component of the world that converts to real dollars, with a keen eye for design and detail and the right building skills, you can generate income from creating products made of bits and bytes. In Second Life, for example, some of the more successful clothing designers are bringing in thousands of dollars (US) a month selling items of clothing at 75 cents to $1.50 a pop. And if you are truly an artist, your virtual goods could sell for a pretty penny.

9. Sell photos on stock photography sites.
If people regularly oooo and aaaaah over your Flickr pics, maybe you’re destined for photographic greatness or maybe just for a few extra dollars. It’s easier than ever to get your photos out in front of the public, which of course means a tremendous amount of competition, but also means it might be an convenient way for you to build up a secondary income stream. Where can you upload and market your photos? Try Fotolia, Dreamstime, Shutterstock, and Big Stock Photo.

10. Provide service and support for open source software.
Just because the software is free doesn’t mean you can’t make money on it–just ask Red Hat, a well-known distributor of Linux that sports a market cap of more than four billion dollars. As a solo web worker, you might not want to jump in and compete with big companies offering Linux support, but how about offering support for web content management systems like WordPress or Drupal? After getting comfortable with your own installation, you can pretty easily jump into helping other people set them up and configure them.

11. Online life coaching.
Who has time to go meet a personal coach at an office? And don’t the new generation of web workers need to be met by their coaches in the same way that they work: via email, IM, and VoIP? You could, of course, go through some life coaching certification program, but on the web, reputation is more important than credentials. For an example of someone building up their profile and business online as a coach, check out Pamela Slim of Ganas Consulting and the Escape from Cubicle Nation blog.

12. Build services atop Amazon Web Services.
Elastic computing on AWS is so cool… and so incredibly primitive right now. Did you know that you can’t even count on your virtual hard drive on EC2 to store your data permanently? That’s why people are making money right now by offering services on top of AWS. Make it easier for people to use Amazon’s scalability web infrastructure like Enomaly has with elasticlive, a scalable web hosting platform built on AWS.

13. Become a virtual gold farmer.
A half million Chinese now earn income by acquiring and selling World of Warcraft gold to gamers in other countries. If you’re not a young person living in China, this probably isn’t a viable option for you. But what’s intriguing about it is the opportunity to make real money working in a virtual economy. People are making real-world money in Second Life too.

Start Earning Money Online With Easy Online Business Free Of Cost

Cisco Systems Inc., formerly known as Pure Networks
These days more and more people are looking for good internet businesses so they can make money online. This is often to replace their income after losing their job in this tough economy or just because they want to be their own boss. An internet business is more ideal than a brick and mortar business for many people because the costs and barriers of entry are considerably lower, and they can work from home.

Starting an internet business is really not very hard to do and it's quite inexpensive compared to any other business. With just a bit of learning and a few online resources you can have an internet business set up pretty quickly. In this post we will take a look at three very good internet businesses to start due to their ease of entry, low cost, and potential to make money quickly.

Selling stuff on eBay:

This can be extremely profitable and it's not very difficult to get started. You can find wholesalers and dropshippers that will provide you with products, descriptions, photos and everything you need to create an eBay listing.

Some of the best selling products on eBay are electronics products such as digital cameras, laptop computers, iPod's, game consoles, and cell phones. But collectibles can also be very profitable for an eBay seller as well. Sometimes even regular household items will make a seller a surprisingly high amount of money.

Freelance business:

This is another really good internet business that you can easily start. Freelance work does require that you have certain skills that people will be willing to pay you to do for them. This is usually things like article writing, copywriting, programming, web design and graphic design.

There are several websites available for finding freelance work, including elance.com, guru.com, and getafreelancer.com. These sites specialize in bringing together freelancers and people looking to hire freelancers. The people who already have successful internet businesses know the value of their time and they employ freelancers to do the legwork so they can do what they do best, which is usually marketing and networking.

Selling content:

This is becoming a popular way to make money online. All you need to do is research topics (niches) that people are interested in and write articles on them. You can also write reports and ebooks on the topics. Then you sell the content to people that will use it on their sites or resell it as if they had written it.

You can sell your content as a ghost written product for as much as $10.00 per page or more. You can also sell it for a lower fixed price to a limited number of people and offer Private Label Rights (PLR). That just means the buyer can make changes to the content, put their own name on it and call it their own, or just about anything else they want.

There are few great sites where you can find buyers for your content. They are the Warrior Forum, Digitalpoint Forums, and Sitepoint Marketplace. These are all places where the internet marketers and webmasters hang out and they are the ones most likely to buy your content.

That's just a few examples of good internet businesses you can start quickly and easily. The internet has opened doors that in the past were often closed to people who wanted to start their own businesses. There are multiple ways to make money online so find something that is a good fit for you and go with it.

How To Promote Your Products Via Podcasting

Podcasting is becoming a popular term among technologically savvy individuals. It is described as an online audio content delivered through an RSS feed. Several people relate to podcasting to radio on demand. In reality, podcasting provides a lot of several options in terms of programming and content compared to the standard radio. You can use and make podcast by simply following a few guidelines.

Here are some tips to start with...

The Uses

Podcasting can be used for playing music, such as band promotional interviews and clips. It can be used for self-guided walking tours, since it gives informational content. It can help in training courses by providing instructional and informational materials. It can help in talk shows by featuring investor news, news coverage, commentaries and industry and organizational news. Podcast can also be used for story telling for kids and individuals who are visually impaired.

The podcast is a program, may be video or audio, that is made available as a downloadable digital file. It is often a spoken word, usually released through periods as part of a series and also frequently offered through web syndication. The podcast is a collection of all episodes and shows of a given program series that is delivered this way. The person creating the content is called a podcaster and the method is known as podcasting.

Creating the Podcast

To create a podcast, you need to record a minimum of one "episode" of the program. Audio is usually the show in most podcasts. You will need a program that supports mp3 format audio to get to the biggest audience. There are a few excellent free programs available that you can easily download online. Save the finished episode as an mp3 file. Upload the mp3 files to the website. In the tutorial, you should have uploaded the files to a folder named podcasts found inside the main web directory.

Instead of following the final steps, you can also opt to use the feedburner service. Feedburner will simplify the function of making podcast RSS feeds. As soon as you familiarize yourself with the process you will realize that podcasting becomes relatively easy. Start a text editor then copy and paste the following information. Edit the title element to describe the show you are featuring, then alter the link to lead to the show's home page on the internet.

Final Notes

It is important to note that after you copy and paste, you have to carefully check to ensure that none of the punctuation has changed during the pasting process. A number of text editors and web browsers do not cooperate together. If the punctuation is wrong, use the text editor to fix or your podcast will not work. Change the URL attribute of the enclosure to accurately match the file name of the mp3 file of the first episode. Correct the URL to match the setup. Change the length attribute of the enclosure element to match the size of the mp3 file of the first episode in bytes. Commas should not be used.

Helping Users

You can instruct users how to manually subscribe to the podcast through podcatcher programs. You can register it also using a podcasting service. You can help users subscribe manually by displaying the URL of the file on the web page then remind users about the steps. Pull down the Advanced menu, choose subscribe to podcast, past the RSS feed URL into the box then finally click OK.

Podcasting is one of the best ways to reach targeted audience,
Give it a try...
Best Of Luck.

How to Build and Manage Dynamic Websites Without Any Technical Knowledge

When I mean without any technical knowledge that means anyone with basic computer skills of browsing! sounds like fun huh!
From Earn A Bit

Drupal a comprehensive software package that contains a CMS along with many other modules that will allow you, as an individual or as a community of users, to easily develop, manage and organize content of a very wide variety on your website.

Drupal is powerful and very popular software that is now increasingly a part of most web hosting packages. The best part of Drupal is you only need to have very basic technical skills like word processing skills or basic browsing skills to be able to use Drupal effectively. No advanced programming knowledge is required. You don't need HTML skills to be able to build, maintain and organize your website using Drupal.

Installation of Drupal is very simple with an easy-to-use web installer. After installation, you are taken through the process of selecting a design for your website and the various content types that will form your website. A wizard guides you through the entire process and at various stages corresponding to different pages of your website, you will be asked to make selections or type in text in browser-based forms. You will also be able to preview what your website looks like as you go along. This allows you to go back and make changes at any point in the process.

The power of Drupal is not just in its CMS but in the way you can create and display a wide variety of content. For example, you may want a simple personal homepage, or a blog on a hobby of yours that you would like visitors to participate in or you may want to start a full-fledged portal. Drupal can be used for all of these purposes just by using various modules that are part of the Drupal package. For example, Drupal introduces you to different basic content types like page, blog, story or even book. By editing certain fields in Drupal's specialized Content Construction Kit, you can very easily create any kind of content that you want without having to know any coding. Drupal can very easily help you set up blogs, forums, picture galleries, peer-to-peer networking, etc. You can set these up as individual websites or as features of your website.

How Earn on Ebay Selling Used Goods and Pull Some Traffic too

A good profit can be made selling goods on eBay. Simply set the starting price at the profit-making minimum. But finding goods that sell well on eBay and marketing them correctly increase profit and makes sales happen. Profit making on eBay is not difficult. Read on to learn more.
From Earn A Bit

step 1
Find goods that are in demand on eBay. After making a few initial sales, it is possible to take advantage of eBay's powerful search capabilities to discover which items sell and at what price. Research these and find a reliable source for the goods, consider ordering goods directly from overseas companies.

Step 2
Sell used items only if they are in great condition. Many people have the mistaken idea they can buy used clothes at thrift shops and then sell them for large profits. This is simply not true. Even designer clothes with the tags still only sell for a few dollars unless they are by a much sought after designer.

Step 3
Use key words and catch phrases that are familiar to eBayers to describe items in the title. Read through the titles of hundreds of items that have sold and learn the key phrases used to sell to veteran eBay shoppers. Most shoppers search for an item with just one or two key words--so use them.

Step 4
Take well-framed photos. Frame the item correctly and the photo will sell the item. Take shots from various angles. Note all the defects in the description.

Step 5
Start the auction at as low a price as possible. EBay shoppers are bargain hunters. Goods that are priced low attract bidders and any item with a bid placed on it will become a focus for that section of eBay. It is human nature to want what others have and items with multiple buyers have higher profits.

Step 6
Ship sold items promptly. This is not only honest but also increases the buyer satisfaction score after successful bidders take note of good service. Higher seller numbers increase profits.

Find your niche on eBay and pull traffic!
From Earn A Bit

You might be thinking that this is a mistake, that eBay is only good for selling off your old tennis raquet. Tens of thousand of people register a new account with eBay daily. Over a billion page views were documented for eBay in 2007! eBay is one of the most visited sites on the internet. With traffic this huge, it's a huge resource for businesses! How can you advertise on eBay? There are several ways...

Online Auctions. Sell your products on eBay and drive customers to your personal website by including links to your About ME page. The About ME page is the one place on eBay that you are allowed to place external links, provided the site is the seller's own personal site, not part of a larger site.

About ME. This page is the ticket to driving traffic from eBay to your own site. Place a well-placed link on your About ME page, and tell your visitors why they should visit. Please, make sure it complies with all eBay policies! Your account can be suspended for not abiding by eBay's rules. Use your best copy-writing skills to draw in traffic to your About ME page, then to your site. Also, be sure to have a link on your personal site that allows users to sign up for a newsletter. This way, if they aren't going to purchase, you can keep in touch. Learn more about creating an about us page for your eBay store, website or blog here.

Reviews & Guides. Sell DVDs? Have an area of expertise that you could share with the eBay community? This section of eBay is indexed very highly by the search engines. They often place near the top of search results. Take advantage of this and write some guides featuring products you sell, or write about topics relevant to your website. Include links to your About ME page, and you've got a little extra traffic to your site! You'll also be building trust in your brand by offering information on your products. Your customers will appreciate it, and you'll become a go-to expert in your area of expertise.

My World Page. This page is also highly indexed by Google and the rest of the search engines. A quick example: Google your own eBay user ID. The My World page often is listed first! Use this page to advertise your items, talk about your business, and customize the best way to persuade viewers to visit your About ME page.

Try these tips and build a sucessful business,Best Of Luck...

How To Lure in Traffic Through Forums

You may be underestimating how much traffic you can get from forums. Participating in forums requires some time and involvement. A random spam-by in a forum thread won't bring any traffic (or very little), especially in comparison to how much you can gain by genuinely contributing. Before posting, if the forum allows, create an avatar (a small picture that will appear next to your forum posts) along with a small, unobtrusive signature line featuring a link to your site. Again, make sure the forum rules allow signature links.

Start by entering the forum and ansering posts about something that you might know something about. Adding something worthwhile to the conversation will be much more appreciated than a "thanks for the info" post. After becoming a regular in the forums, users new and old alike may start to follow your link out of natural curiousity...so make your tag line tempting for them to click!

How To Get Higher Google PageRank

From Earn A Bit

PageRank is Google’s primary method of ranking web pages in their index. PageRank refers to a hidden value (presumably between 1 and 10) that ranks a page based on importance.

Web pages with higher PageRank (PR for short) are thought (by Google) to be more important, and thus get ranked higher than pages with lower PR.When one web page links to another web page, they give that page some of their PageRank. This concept is what gives PageRank its power. The theory behind it is this: Let’s say a large, popular website (let’s say CNN.com) links to your web page. The page on their site would likely have a high PR. Google looks at this link to you and gives you a higher PR because they trust CNN.com.
From Earn A Bit

When Google indexes your website, they search for links to your pages, which are called backlinks. The number and quality of backlinks to your website’s pages have a major impact on your PageRank.Simply put, the more quality links you can get to your website, the higher your website will rank in Google Search.

How to Make Money on PPC Using Affiliate Programs

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is one of the most effective promotional methods online. It provides instant traffic and quick results for any marketing campaign. A really fast and easy way to get targeted traffic to your website. If you have a little start-up capital, you can begin promoting other Company's products via without a web site using affiliate programs.

To succeed with PPC advertising you need to make more in sales than you pay for ad clicks. Some people make thousands a day. There are many online PPC guides that will show you the way to making profits with pay per click ads and affiliate programs.

Step 1:Determine the niche you want to target. This could be anything from health and beauty to self-improvement. If you have trouble coming up with a niche, just think of something that interests you or that you know a lot about. This will help you to identify segments of a given niche that may not be fully explored
Step 2:Compile a list of products with affiliate programs in your chosen niche. There are a number of affiliate programs which are managed by affiliate directories. These are the easiest to find. Others are privately managed by the merchant's dedicated marketing team. While these are a little harder to find, they tend to be more profitable because they have less competition.
Step 3:Use a keyword research tool to find keywords and phrases that pertain to your chosen niche. These can be paid or free. Begin by searching for the names of the products to identify keywords that buyers may enter into a search engine. Also, search various terms beginning with “how to” that relate to problems your affiliate products address.
Step 4:Refine your keyword list. The goal is to narrow your list down to keywords and phrases that receive 100 or more searches monthly but have low competition in the search engines.
Step 5:Open up your PPC account. There are a number of PPC search engines you can target, the major players being Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Each has a dedicated tutorial to help you set up an account with them. Most will require you to deposit some funds to get the account going.
Step 6:Write your ads and enter your keywords into your PPC. Be sure your ads are designed to spark the curiosity of searchers. You don't have to try to tell them everything about the product in your ad because the room is limited.
Step7:Set your bid amounts. Shoot for a maximum bid of $0.10. If you have to bid more in order to get a keyword placed in the first page of results, then delete that keyword and move on to another that is less competitive but still has 100 or more monthly searches.
Step 8:Test and track your keywords and phrases. There a several tools that serve this purpose. The goal is to determine which keywords lead to conversions and which don't. As time progresses, get rid of the keywords that don't convert so you can increase your profit margin.
